October brings with it a celebratory month full of holidays. The strategic holiday towards the month end comes in the form of Gudi Padwa or Telugu New Year on March 29 and gives us a much-needed break from the month-end stress. The month of March which marks the end of our financial year has an incredible long weekend opportunity. The strategic placement of January 26, Republic Day, on a Thursday, which gives you a prospective long weekend, (Take a leave on Friday, 27 January!) and the release for Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees! February also has one long weekend with Maharashtra falling on a Friday (February 24). The first month of the New Year, January does not boast of many festivals and weekends are the only good part about the start of the month!
